The Founding of ADRsource

Mediators Richard B. Lord and Scott M. Baughan recently announced the formation of ADRsource, LLC. The company will provide mediation and arbitration services driven to resolution of legal disputes. Baughan and Lord, as co-founders of the Company, combine for over a quarter century of experience as full-time mediators with thousands of cases mediated between them. Baughan pointed out that: “a key part of the firm’s vision is to provide an independent platform for mediators and arbitrators to build their practices and leverage the rapidly evolving technologies available to the practice.” Lord emphasized the dramatic shift from live mediations to the conduct of these proceedings via videoconference. Lord observed that “Covid forced mediation into videoconferencing platforms and made us all realize that the process could remain effective and become more efficient at the same time. While we remain dedicated to providing live mediations, videoconferencing will continue to be an important means of delivering alternative dispute resolution services.”
