Michelle Roth

Michelle, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and member of the Miami Beach and Miami-Dade Bar Associations, grew up in a bilingual household in Miami, Florida. She completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University and obtained her law degree at the University of Miami where she graduated with honors. Michelle began her legal career in the field of international commercial litigation working as a foreign associate for the largest law firm in Buenos Aires.

Michelle then returned to Miami where she developed impeccable jury trial skills during her time with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office where she served as a Homicide Prosecutor, eventually becoming Division Chief. In this role, Michelle tried dozens of high-profile, high-stakes jury trials as lead counsel.

Following her career as a prosecutor, Michelle transitioned to civil litigation. Her civil litigation practice focused primarily upon injury and death cases involving negligent security and premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice, and general liability claims. Michelle believes that effective mediation requires an appreciation of trial optics and jury dynamics to help the decision makers and their counsel negotiate effectively with a clear view of the strengths and weaknesses of any given case.

In addition to the strength of her jury trial experience, Michelle has a unique understanding of commercial and business development. Michelle served as Chief of Staff for a startup company where she oversaw the growth and development of the entire enterprise. This included guiding the company from its inception through a successful Initial Public Offering.

Michelle’s diverse professional and cultural background, together with her keen understanding of how juries process information, make her a highly effective mediator. She works diligently to create a mediation environment focused upon a realistic assessment of trial outcomes and the benefits of resolution to maximize the opportunity to reach a settlement.
