Longtime Melbourne attorney Andy Hament joined the Florida dispute resolution firm ADRsource, LLC, founded by mediators Richard B. Lord and Scott M. Baughan. Prior to becoming a mediator, Hament specialized in labor and employment law, amassing over 35 years of experience representing clients in state and federal litigation proceedings, including handling countless mediations and arbitrations on behalf of clients. He has successfully litigated highly complex trial and appellate matters, including a precedent setting case before the Supreme Court of the United States. After transitioning from private practice in 2020, he has served as a neutral mediator in a wide range of state and federal civil lawsuits, including labor and employment, contract, construction, condominium, assault and battery, and trust and estate disputes.

According to Lord, "Litigating a case through trial and possible appeals can cost the parties much more than they anticipate, can take much longer than they expect, and is fraught with uncertainty. No one ever knows how a judge or jury is going to decide an issue or the entire case. Mediation offers the parties an opportunity to resolve a dispute on their own terms without the costs, risks and stresses of trial and appeals". Baughan adds, "Mediation boils down to problem-solving and Hament is a proven problem solver. Andy brings such an amazing depth of litigation experience to ADRsource. The insight that he can immediately bring to the mediation process will be a powerful catalyst to assist parties with reaching resolution. His remarkable achievements both as a successful trial lawyer and now as a mediator clearly illustrate his professionalism and dedication to every case he touches.” Andy is available to mediate in person and by Zoom. To schedule a mediation with him, please contact his case manager Norma Abreu at norma@adrsource.com or call 888.741.2224.
